Jade grew up here in Marquette, or rather in a small cottage on a few acres of land near the town. Her life has always been rather simple. She takes what she gets and rarely ever complains. Her childhood was filled with bike rides into town to buy eggs that her mother forgot to pick up earlier so that they may bake cookies on her mom's days off. She swam in the lake at the small beach that her father found only a short bike ride away. Although Jade wished for one, she has no siblings and sometimes had fits of boredom that only increased her imaginative mind. She was often found painting or drawing in her room that was the loft in their little cottage. Often her drawings would depict dresses or frilly tops, girly things that would soon become her career. As a child she loved the feel of lace on her skin, and still does to this day. Her parents encouraged her, thinking that one day Jade would become some top notch designer in New York, selling wedding gowns that had price tags up to the millions. Jade, however, envisioned herself owning a simple store close to the lake in town, where you could smell the fresh breeze off the water and when her door opened a cheerful bell would ring. She imagined having a coffee shop next door, where she would get her usual chai tea as she made her way to unlock her very own store for the day.
Jade was a very hard worker and made top grades in school. She was awarded scholarships, but they lay unused, still awaiting her if she ever decided she wished to gain a better understanding of her world. However, Jade believes that her world aught to stay small, as it always has. When she turned twenty, the young woman, with help from her dear parents, bought her own cottage only a few houses down the road from her parents. She still rides her bike into town, her little car rarely used in the summer months. Jade's wishing and hard work paid off, for her dreams came true when she used the money she rarely spent from her job at one of the nice diners in town to buy a little shop right close to the lake. There is even a café across the street and when the wind is right, you can smell both fresh air off the lake and the pungent smell of freshly brewed coffee wafting into Jade's little shop, which she named Flyaway, after the whimsical feeling she added to the little shop of woman's clothing. Jade designs and makes each article of clothing by hand, by herself. She also custom makes outfits for people, if they so wish. She also makes her own jewelry.
Jade is an awfully sweet girl, she relishes in the small town feel and warmth that comes with knowing peoples names. She usually has a smile on her face and loves having the sun shine on her face. Rarely does Jade get upset, and if she does she probably won't show it. She is a bit shy around new people, but after a few kind words spoken in her direction she easily warms up to them.
If you wanted to sum her entire being up into one word, she would probably say "warmth".
