and what about lorelei?
Basic Timeline of her life (until I can be bothered to make this pretty):
1988: Born to Lillian and Karov Black, two botanists from Canada.
1996-2004 (age 8-16): Lorelei became immersed in everything relating to ghosts including the theory and practice behind séances and contact with the spirit realm. She also got into tea reading at this time and began working at the Little Leaf's Teahouse at age sixteen and offered free readings to any interested customers.
February 21st, 2004: Lorelei had a particularly bad "experience" during a seance conducted in the woods outside Marquette with a few friends. She claimed to that a spirit had entered her at one of the peeks in lucidness within the regular trance-like state she maintained as she connected with the-so-called spirit realm. She began to convulse and speak in tongues and two of the other participants followed suit, claiming similar catalysts for their seizures. A coherent friend ran for help and Lorelei and her two friends were hospitalized for approximately five days before being released. Lorelei's blood tested positive for strong amounts of Salvia divinorum, or "Seer's Sage", apparently borrowed from her parents' greenhouse.
Despite the serious conditions provoked apparently by Lorelei's fixation with the spirit world, her parents only barred her from tampering her their plants.
2005-2008 (age 17-20): Lorelei continues to be fascinated by the paranormal study but allows it to take a backseat to her blossoming art career. At age 19 she sells her first piece of art work to a gallery downtown and wins a general arts scholarship. She attends Northshore.
2009-2012 (age 21-24): Lorelei makes a series of "harmless" coming-of-age mistakes whilst at Northshore; she loses her virginity despite her self-imposed promise to wait for marriage. She drinks, smokes, and does a handful of some-what illegal things but happily finds that she doesn't have a taste for a "wild" life of sorts. She graduated with a MFA with a focus on Art Education. She currently is still employed at her place of work for the past eight years, Little Leaf's Teahouse and, though she has the means to start teaching, she is contented at the moment to work on her own art so long as the Teahouse can support her.
